oopsies/ghosties

So, a few posts down I mentioned that something awesome was going to happen in September and didn't want to give away too much because I didn't want to jinx it. Well, I think I jinxed it.
Tyler Read was supposed to leave next week for a label showcase in NYC and to record demos for one reason or another-I've never understood the music industry (and don't plan on it) and I don't get many details from Chris.
Anyhow, on top of being pumped for the band, I thought this would be an opportunity to sneak in a little vacay time for myself. I had even already discussed Manhattan must-see spots with Brooke, the other precious band wife.
Now it turns out the band will only play the planned showcase and return back home, which means no QT with NYC.
But, I suppose the good news is that if all goes well with the showcase, the boys have a chance at being signed to a major(?) label.

But enough about that.

If I could meet anyone in the world, do you know who it would be? Ricky Gervais.
That man is a genius.
I probably don't know the extent of work he's done in the past, but my obvious favies are:

Rule #1. If you haven't seen the BBC version (the original) of the Office, then we aren't allowed to be friends. And although Michael Scott has won my heart over (and over again), this show makes my heart sing.

Rule #2. If you watched the series finale for both the Office (BBC) and Extras and didn't cry, you have no soul. You aren't human. Go get a heart.

Needless to say, I cannot wait for Ghost Town.
It seems a bit corny, but I'm hoping Ricky and Greg make me proud.

hearts.

I sort of want to cry over the fact that we're missing New York in the Fall. Oh. My. Gosh.

Maybe I'll have to listen to some "Free Love on the Free Love Freeway" to make myself feel better. ;)

Ghost town = tote brill! I laughed, I cried, but I acted like I wasn't crying b/c it was embarassing to be crying.
