I decided to start a list of songs that make me feel good*
And here it is (in no particular order):
Don't Let Me Down-the Beatles
Clocks-Coldplay
Hiro's Song-Ben Folds Five
Dig a Pony-the Beatles
Portions for Foxes-Rilo Kiley
the Weather-Built to Spill (not to be confused with Built for Speed)
Fallen from the Sky-Glen Hansard
Family Tree-Ben Kweller
Rhythm of my Heart-Rod Stewart
Places-Ours
Ode to LRC-Band of Horses
Wouldn't It Be Nice-the Beach Boys
Two of Us-the Beatles
Hang Me Up to Dry-Cold War Kids
Read My Mind-the Killers (new album out this month, how excited am I?!)
Oh Valencia!-the Decemberists
Holland, 1945-Neutral Milk Hotel
*I listed these songs because of A. nostalgia and/or B. the way my body moves when played in the comforts of my car/living room when I'm alone.

bang bang
Ever since I cut bangs, I don't know if I've been more self-conscious of my hair, or my face. I sometimes feel they just accentuate the roundness of my cheeks and chin. Maybe I'm just delusional (it's quite possible).
Anyway, I was reading Stuff White People Like, and came across this article which made me grin. I even found some characteristics in common with the girls they were describing:
"But for white people, this simple haircut makes a bold declaration by saying that the wearer is artistic, deep, and has probably dated a guy in a band you like"
Now, I feel a little proud and walk with a bit more pep in my step, even though I miss my long hair. Sad face.
long hair, I miss you:
new hair, it's alright I guess:

Dear Madonna,
I haven't liked your music since I danced in my room to the Immaculate Collection in the early 90's, but if I was at that show on your Sticky & Sweet tour, and you told Palin to "get off your street," I probably would have spit in your general direction.
Shut up and entertain me.
